Introducing...
My name is Arnoud Busscher. I am specialised and certified in canine behaviour. My profession involves the study, training and solving of problems affecting dogs. I started to work as an assistant trainer at Dierenhotel Lelystad Martin Gaus. During this time I completed some studies such as; Behavioural Counseling in dogs, Problem behaviour in dogs, Basic instruction course of the Dutch Association of Instructors in dog education and training.
In 1999 I established my own practice as an canine behavioural therapist. I find it important to have a good relationship with veterinarians. They regularly refer people with their dogs to me for a puppy training or consultation.
During my work I have noticed that the usual obedience training is not always sufficient for people who have a problem dog. They often remain with the problem unless specific training to overcome this is provided. In the course of my daily work, I encounter a great deal of behavioural problems affecting all types and races of dogs.
A few examples of behavioural problems:
- - Aggression to people or other dogs
- - Disobedience
- - Separation anxiety
- - Jumping up at people
- - Fear
- - Barking
